MEET KEY OF D
I make instrumental music that sounds like analog synthesizers dreaming in digital
Greetings; my name is Didier (D-D-A). Born in the Dominican Republic, raised in France, and reinvented in the U.S., I've spent the past several years teaching myself music production from the ground up. Everything you hear on this site, I composed, performed, and produced in my home studio. I post work-in-progress on YouTube and more polished tracks on Bandcamp, so be sure to check those out. (Fans do get special treatment.) Before music took over, I worked in visual storytelling: newsrooms, animation, visual effects, and art direction. That background shows up in how I think about composition: Each track tells a story without needing words. Think of it as cinema for your ears, minus the overpriced popcorn. My influences are Jean-Michel Jarre, Vangelis, Kitaro, Mike Oldfield, and Tangerine Dream. I'm also a fan of Joe Satriani, Shpongle, Ott, Madis, and Kebu. I'm currently working on my first LP, "Stories of Note." The tracks on the Music page are milestones along that journey. No lyrics, just feelings — and synths that go "bloop." When I'm not making music, I write stories that sometimes rhyme and draw things that occasionally remember they want to be comics. Croissants keep me civilized, video games keep me humble, and since both are cheaper than therapy I must be doing great. Yes: I'm silly in three languages and not ashamed to admit it. If you're into sounds that swirl and stories that land sideways, stick around. Say hello. Let's see where this goes.
